COVINGTON — Mrs. Margaret Louise Swaney, 55, of 915 Seventh St., died in her home at 11 p.m. Thursday. She had been in ill health for two years. She was a resident of Covington for 38 years, moving here from Ogdon, Ill. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church. Born Sept. 10, 1918, at Ogdon, she was a daughter of William and Cora Ebert Peck. She married William A. Swaney on Oct. 31, 1936. He survives. Other survivors include a son, William A. Jr. of Rt. 1, Covington; two brothers, Walter Peck of St. Joseph, Ill., and Oscar Peck of Champaign, Ill.; two sisters, Mrs. Elsie Swearingen of Urbana, Ill., and Mrs. Blanche Fryer of Champaign; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, grandson, brother and sister. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in Bodine & Shelby Funeral Home with the Rev. Edgar Allen officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Saturday.   -- typed by Walt W
